Print Job Statues
In the ID123 print queue, job statutes are used to determine if a print job was successful and to identify the cause of any errors as the print job is being dispatched. Any additional status messages that come back from the third-party platform will be displayed in the Status Message column in the ID123 print queue.
Job Status | Description |
Requested | A print job is requested from the IDMS or a print proxy and is awaiting approval from an admin in the ID123 print queue. When a print job first comes into the print queue it will be given the “Requested” status. |
Denied | A requested print job is denied by an admin in the ID123 print queue. If a print job has the “Denied” status no further actions can be taken by admin for this print job with the exception of “Delete” |
Queued | The print job is in the process of being dispatched to a third-party platform. When the account-level setting to automatically print requested print jobs is turned on the print job will skip the “Requested” job status and move directly to the “Queued” status as the first status the print job receives when it comes into the ID123 print queue. |
Dispatched | The print job has been successfully dispatched from the ID123 print queue to a third-party platform and the system is waiting for the third-party platform to complete the print job. |
Printed | The print job was successfully printed either from a third-party platform or directly to a local ID card printer from the IDMS. |
Failed | The print job failed due to one of the following reasons:
|
Unknown | The status of the print job returned is unknown and final. No more updates are expected and the maximum amount of time has been reached to obtain a status. |
Canceled | The print john has been manually canceled by an admin. A print job can be canceled in the ID123 print queue at any status unless it is already dispatched. If already dispatched, the print job will have to be canceled from the third-party platform. |
